Asset Count Adjustment

Precision Control for Custom Cycle Tuning

The Asset Count Adjustment panel gives traders fine-grain control over how the indicator interprets market cycles — letting you fine-tune the engine behind the CF Cycle Trading Indicator to match your unique trading style or an asset’s specific behaviour.

⚙️ Customisable Settings Overview

Each adjustment below shapes how cycle lows are detected and confirmed:

  • 🔁 Cycle Length Adjustment Factor

Adjusts the average length of a cycle. Increase to stretch out cycles for slower-moving assets, or decrease to catch shorter, faster cycles.

  • ⚡ Fast EMA Adjustment Factor

Controls short-term sensitivity. A higher number means faster response to recent price action — perfect for fast-paced assets.

  • 🐢 Slow EMA Adjustment Factor

Smooths the count over longer timeframes, filtering out noise and focusing on major directional shifts.

  • 📈 Overbought Filter (Uptrend Threshold)

Determines how quickly an asset is marked as entering an uptrend. Lower values = quicker uptrend detection.

  • 📉 Oversold Filter (Downtrend Threshold)

Determines how sensitive the system is to detecting downtrends. Higher values = slower, more conservative trend shifts.

  • ⏩ Faster Confirmation (Toggle)

Enables quicker DCL confirmation for aggressive traders. Ideal for those looking to reduce lag on signals in fast-moving markets.

🧠 How to Use These Settings

These tools are especially useful when:

  • 🔧 You’re trading an unoptimised asset and need more control

  • 🛠️ You’ve selected a finetuned count and want to refine it further

  • 🧪 You want to experiment with shorter/longer cycles or match your personal market outlook

You can also adjust these settings globally on default unoptimised assets to better suit the structure of what you’re viewing — without the need for coding or complex setup.

This gives you the dials and sliders to shape your own cycle engine — designed for traders who want full control over the rhythm of their analysis.
